Dear District Resident:

With four years experience on the Mariemont School Board, I am committed to providing the best educational opportunities for our students at the most reasonable cost to taxpayers. I understand the challenges facing public education and the Mariemont School District. With my first hand experience and business knowledge, I will continue to demand academic success and financial accountability.

BOARD OF EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:

  • President, Mariemont School Board, 2005
  • Member, Mariemont School Board, 2002-2004

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS BOARD MEMBER:
  • Long-range Plan: engaging residents and staff in development of strategic improvements to Curriculum, Communications, Facility and Staffing
  • Contained growth in expenditures: 3 year average increase was just 2.9%
  • National Blue Ribbon Award: Mariemont High School's 4th Award
  • New Math Curriculum: Enhanced opportunities for student achievement
  • Graduate Success: over 90% matriculating to higher education with $2,500,000 in scholarship opportunities

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
  • B.A. Finance, University of Cincinnati
  • Financial Analyst, Cincinnati Milacron Treasury Department

PREVIOUS SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
  • Co-Chairperson, 1998 Mariemont School District levy

  • President, Mariemont Jr. High School PTO

As a 17 year resident of the District and a parent of two Mariemont students and a 2005 graduate, I am passionate about educational excellence. I will vigilantly pursue opportunities for improvement while closely scrutinizing growth in expenditures.
