1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Lawanna Marie Barber:

I am a 34-year old political new comer. I am the mother of 4 children. I am a faithful Christian with positive energy to represent this village.


2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Lawanna Marie Barber:

1) We must aggressively address the needs of our youth by providing them with a public recreation facility and a park. 2) Providing after-school activities that will allow children who need additional help with school work/access to computers the help. 3) Promote economic development by making sound investment decisions which swill benefit the community as a whole.


3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lawanna Marie Barber:

I would make sure ramps and automated doors were in place. I would also work to see "wheel chair accessible" bathrooms in public places.


4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lawanna Marie Barber:

I would take part in holding a "recycling" seminar for the youth the community. I would also send out literature on recycling bins.


5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lawanna Marie Barber:

Bring information before the residents on some of the different housing programs available to them. Bring in a speaker on "How to manage your money".
