1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Tom Kathman:

Was past Treasurer for 14 years. City Treasury increased 50% during my tenure.

Answer from Becky Booth:

Volunteer in St. Bernard for 25 years, political activist for 20 years. Asst. the mayor & City Hall personnel with local benefits.


2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Becky Booth:

To work closely with the administration and budget committee. To ensure all residents are receiving services in a timely manger. To asst. the senior citizen population with meals-on-wheels + provide/volunteer transportation as needed to medical appts.

Answer from Tom Kathman:

Allocate available funds based on priorities. Regain our strength in the safety departments by keeping a close watch on overtime. Develop a pamphlet for realtors to sell the benefits of living in St. Bernard. Fund our Capital Improvement fund to repair our streets and sidewalks.


3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Answer from Becky Booth:

Go to the homes of the disabled + senior citizens to assess that proper equipment is available to meet their needs.


4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Becky Booth:

We presently have an excellent program in place in St. Bernard, I personally ensure recyclable bins are used @ all times.


5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Becky Booth:

Work closely with the planning + development committee to provide senior housing.
