1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Curtis Walden:

The President of Council's primary job is to run Council meetings. I have served on Council for 8 years, and have presided over Council's meetings the last 2 years as President of Council. That experience will allow for continued well run meetings


2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Curtis Walden:

As President of Council, I will continue to work to improve the running of Council meetings and to facilitate communications between council and citizens. I look forward to the opportunity to continue working for the betterment of the City and helping provide the best possible St. Bernard for its residents


3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Answer from Curtis Walden:

St. Bernard's public facilities are currently accessible. I will work to ensure the City is in compliance with all State and Feral mandates ensuring accessibility


4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Curtis Walden:

St. Bernard currently has an active recycling program with weekly pick-up at resident's home. I fully support the continuance of this program by the Service Department


5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Curtis Walden:

I support the ongoing effort of Council to provide affordable senior housing in St. Bernard. This would benefit the City and all of its residents.
