1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from James K. McMahon:

I believe I am qualified for this position due to my leadership qualities that I possess. I also listen well and I am a go-getter

Answer from Thomas H Graves, sr:

Trained as a Community Organizer,Urban Planner.A background in Marketing/Advo Direct Marketing,employed by the General Electric co. for 25 years, last position held was " Administrator,Computer Techniques",Director,Housing for the" Urban League of Greater Cinti."In most of the above Listed positions I had Supervisory and Management Responsibilities.


2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Thomas H Graves, sr:

As Chairman of Community Development committee work Deligentlyget Citizen input at all times.

Answer from James K. McMahon:

Form a group of Business leaders, residents etc to promote and develop a strategy for economic development and to better promote the city of North College Hill as a great place to live and do business


3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Answer from James K. McMahon:

First I would have to inspect all public buildings within the community to see where they stand now with compliance. Then work with the proper authorities to enact what is needed to comply with the ADA Act

Answer from Thomas H Graves, sr:

Vote to assure That all of the Laws under the disabilities act are vigorously Enforced at all times.


4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Thomas H Graves, sr:

I feel that recycling is an urgent community need.As an Elected Councilman I and Chairman of the Community Dev. Committee will research to determine the extend the need in North College Hill and develope a Plan/Strategy and fight to have it implemented.

Answer from James K. McMahon:

Currently NCH offers curbside recycling with a contract with Rumpke Trash Removal. I would look into grants to make the public more aware of what currently available in one large item category ie appliances etc


5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Thomas H Graves, sr:

Address all the areas of below code housing.

inform our citizen of all the available vehicles to help repair homes with low interest loans and other programs work with organizations that are bringing about awareness to existing housing problems ie; The Concerned Citizens of North College Hill.My greatest emphasis will be on educating citizens in this area.
