1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Lee E. Czerwonka:
I am a 14 year resident of Blue Ash. I have been on City Council for a year and on the Blue Ash Planning Commission for two years prior. I am a active member in the Blue Ash Civic League and President of the Blue Ash Republican Club. I am also a member of All Saints Church. I believe I bring to council experience, knowledge and passion to the betterment of Blue Ash.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Lee E. Czerwonka:
I continue to focus on working with council and administration on our downtown redevelopment efforts. We are just finishing our work on a redevelopment plan along with a plan on branding our city. Both of these will be implemented shortly. Both of the above items will also help in the city's future economic development efforts. I continue to push as a priority quality amenities for our residents and businesses such as our recycling efforts and our new service for residents of picking up brush and wood debris on a weekly schedule in all neighborhoods.

3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lee E. Czerwonka:
As a former Planning Commissioner and as a current Councilman I believe that we continue to review all development projects that come to the administration for approval, permits etc. be reviewed for all current accessibility code guidelines and that those codes and guidelines are met prior to approvals given.

4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lee E. Czerwonka:
In Blue Ash we have continued to encourage the use of recycling in various forms. Those forms are as follows: Household Hazardous Waste Removal Program: Where residents can bring their old and unneeded household items such as leftover paints, used oil and cleaning supplies to the city service garage for proper disposal. Freon Removal Program: Where residents can call the city service garage and request the pick up of old refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. The city picks them up and removes the freon and arranges for disposal of the item. Brush Pick Up: The city once a week picks up brush in all neighborhoods and chips it up. The chips are then available as free mulch to the residents. All of these programs are promoted to the residents regularly.

5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

Answer from Lee E. Czerwonka:
As newer developments come before the city for approval we should encourage affordable pricing that fits in the particular neighborhood being considered. We also recommend and encourage our residents to use the city's revitalization program which has been set up to revitalize and and support older neighborhoods through home repair loans and grants, emergency home repairs, neighborhood cleanup activities and general improvement projects. In keeping older neighborhoods up to date and well kept this helps to encourage higher property values and helps in preventing home teardowns.
