WHY CURRICULUM SHOULD BE IMPROVED

By Stanley G. "DOCTEUR" Hilton

Candidate for Board Member; Hillsborough City School District

This information is provided by the candidate
improve school curriculum, inculcate critical thinking
I believe that curriculum should be improved in Hillsborough public schools at all levels, to better train students in the modern high tech world, incuding proficiency in computers, understanding how software and hardware work, learning how to use e mail and to search the web, etc.

I also believe that students should be taught critical thinking, to better hone their minds for future successful careers. In such area as the theory of evolution, theory of relativity etc., they should be exposed to alternative theories and made to analyze the data and evidence for all such theories, become aware of controversies regaridng them, and learn accordingly.

Finally, students should be taught how the "global economy" has now made ceetain skills essential in order to succeed.
