Candidate for
Board Member; Hillsborough City School District

Since dropping off my oldest child at South kindergarten in 1995, I have devoted my time, energy, professional skills and resources to the continued success of our Hillsborough schools.

I served on the Annual Giving Campaign of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation(HSF)for 6 years and was President of HSF in 2002-03, increasing contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign to a record $1,947,000. I initiated HSF's Special Appeal Campaign which raised $225,000 to offset the state budget cuts.

For the past 3 years I have regularly attended School Board meetings and participated in the development of the school specific construction plans funded by the $66.8 million bond measure. I know the challenges the district and community will face during the rehabilitation.

I have a proven leadership record and established relationships in our schools and community that will be vital in guiding our schools successfully through the next decade of facility construction and budget uncertainties.
