Biography Continued

I was elected to City Council in 1992 and also serve on:

  • League of California Cities Latino Caucus Board of Directors
  • Historical Society Committee of Gilroy
  • Housing Element

I have spent 58 years in Gilroy and have three daughters, ages 38, 36 and 24, and seven grandchildren. I am raising two in my household and have four grandchildren attending Gilroy High School.
