We can all be proud of the progresses and accomplishments our School District has made: substantial improvement in curriculum standards, Technology integration, and enhanced student welfare. We have renovated 22 schools and reopened Eaton. I was co-chair in our recent successful passing of an eighty million dollar bond to further improve our schools. Our District is financially sound.

I have worked closely with Cupertino Education Endowment Foundation and local businesses to provide additional funding for innovative programs. In partnership with local agencies, I have been actively seeking solutions for our teachers and staff housing affordability. I am committed to enhance educational excellence.

I have continued my community involvement: working with Cupertino Community Services to serve those in need; engaging the social service agencies to provide safety nets for students and families; active in church; and committed to bring diverse groups and stake-holders together.

There are challenges ahead. We must continue to communicate to state and federal agencies about our needs in funding. More counselors are needed for our students and families. We must be creative in attracting and retaining quality teachers and staff. We need to be prudent overseers of our bond funds.

With your help, we can together ensure the development of our students into healthy, joyful, and responsible citizens of tomorrow.
