We are a town faced with critical and immediate choices. Once one of the choices is made, it will be irrevocable; there can be no turning back. Once our wondrous tourist attractions----the beautiful views, quiet nights, clear skies, the hiking and biking trails----- once these are plowed under or blocked out by multi-story, highly-congested tracts, you will not get the beauty back again.

For the past 35 years, I've watched this town grow with no tangible plan for the future, no vision, with no apparent thought of water or air conditions, gridlock or quality of life. That growth is now so fast, it threatens our whole infrastructure. It is not more property taxes which will save our town; success will come from a revitalized downtown, increased sales revenues and the encouragement of more tourist spending. There has never been a greater need to change this City Council from one which follows the cry of the developer to one which will listen to the needs of the people. I will listen to you. I know this town. I love this town. And I will serve the residents of this town.
