RESTORING COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP FOR OUR FAMILY'S FUTURE WELL-BEING

1. As City Councilmember of the 14th District, I will organize residents into community corporate charters with no majority stockholder to provide residents to participate in their local economy. These community corporate charters will revitalize their community's local economy by supporting existing production and retail of goods and services essentially scaling down the economy to fit the community. As Councilmember and leader of the 14th District, I will emphasize various community partnerships (e.g. public-private, for-profit-non-profit, etc.), redistribution, and job growth within communities within the 14th District.

2. Our communities have resources and many agency competing for such resources. As a result, many of these community-based associations politic and compete with one another detouring them from their true purpose--the community. As City Councilmember, I will organize all these community-based association in their respective community into an assembly to coordinate their efforts and identify which associations are worthy of funding on a community scale. Furthermore, I will move to establish community funds with parameters in which the assembly will have control over.

3. As Councilmembers, I will maintain the sense of community and culture in our communities by stopping developers from changing it. I will move to restore our existing landmarks and housing stock, while objecting to high density housing.
