I'm in favor of growth to expand the tax base, but only if services can keep pace, not just the RID but BLM and Humboldt County. It has been said that there are 150 permits in process with the Planning Department and a feasibility study may become necessary to determine at what point we can no longer support new housing.

Non-revenue generating entities include the golf course, the airstrip and the playground. Expenses far outweigh the revenue stream for the golf course and perhaps a solution could come from committee recommendations.

I am not in favor of hangars on the airstrip. The District has all it can handle without the added burden of bringing this to fruition. Again, expenses would far outweigh income.

Attention needs to be given to revenue sources. An inexpensive marketing plan could be developed to rent the Community Center, the vacant office space and the pro shop.

In listening to the public, I'll determine what's within the realm of the RID's charter and have an objective view of those issues in order to best represent the constituents.
