Rudy's Vision

By Rudy J Rodriguez

Candidate for Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 7

This information is provided by the candidate
Restoring the trust and confidence of our electeds is the cornerstone of strong and effective leadership.
Securing the trust and confidence of the residents is the cornerstone of strong and effective representation in City Hall. I want to be your councilman to work with you and to restore your trust in local government.

Our diverse community has important needs that together we can address:

1. Affordable Housing
2. Park Space
3. Safe Streets & Neighborhoods

The need for strong, responsible leadership must be met. As your councilman, I will work hard to ensure that gains will be made and that our community will have a voice to address these issues.

I currently serve our community by volunteering in the classroom, serving on numerous boards of community or based organizations (such as the YMCA and the Mexican Heritage Plaza), helping with neighborhood beautifications, and mentoring young men and women. It is this hands-on experience that has helped me understand the issues facing the people of San Jose - and it is these experiences that have given me the motivation and desire to run for the election on June 7, 2005.

TOP PRIORITIES IF ELECTED:

1. Restore the trust and confidence of residents of District 7 in their elected leadership
2. Youth and Senior Services
3. Affordable Housing and creating opportunities for home ownership
4. Attractive and Safe Neighborhoods
5. Building Wealth in our Community (Sustainability)

In Community Spirit,

Rudy Rodriguez
