I grew up in Detroit Michigan and attended Catholic School. After graduation from Holy Redeemer High School in Detroit, in 1977, I attended one year of community college in Dearborn, Michigan and then I moved to California.

I worked at the phone company for a short time (training in Glendale) and then started as a clerk at Lorimar Productions in the production estimating and budgeting department at the old MGM Studios in Culver City.

I attended West Los Angeles Community College at night and finished my Associates Degree in 1981, graduating with honors. I transferred to UCLA and majored in Psychology. Although I went to school full time, I continued to work at Lorimar Productions and worked other jobs as well to pay for school myself.

After graduating, magna cum laude, with a degree in Psychology from UCLA in 1983, I returned to work at Lorimar Productions on a full time basis and I was promoted to Audit Supervisor, handling network and insurance audits of productions. This was very detailed work that required thorough reviews of contracts, accounts and pulling back up, as well as working with outside auditors and internal staff.

After a few years, I decided to attend Law School at night to pursue my goal of attaining my Law Degree. I chose Loyola Law School because they rotated their full professors in the Evening program making it more demanding. I received a scholarship which helped with the tuition and I continued to work full time at Lorimar Productions. Attending Law School at night is very demanding, but I completed my law degree, graduating in 1989 and passed the bar exam on my first attempt in the fall of 1989. [Think of a test on which all of the multiple choice answers are correct and you have to choose the best correct answer.]

My position at Lorimar Productions was phased out when Lorimar Productions and Warner Brothers merged and I joined the Glendale Law Firm of Irsfeld, Irsfeld & Younger LLP in April of 1990. I do not like to commute, so I moved to Glendale shortly thereafter.

The following year, my sister Adrienne and her two children, Marisa and Adam moved in with me. At first we lived on Glenwood, then we moved into a condo on Riverdale. I became active on our homeowner's association board and was the president for two years.

Finally we moved into our home on Grandview (and got a dog, now that we had a big back yard for her to play in). Over the years, I have been very active in the community as set forth below on my resume. My niece, Marisa graduated last year from Hoover High School and attended one semester at Glendale Community College and my nephew, Adam is a freshman at Hoover High School. My sister Adrienne currently works as a school secretary at Muir Elementary in Glendale.

Our family has put down stong roots in this community--Glendale is home.

Here is my current resume:
