Bill Wyatt was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in North Carolina, southern Florida, and now in California since 1981. He attended San Francisco State University where he received a B.A. in Liberal Studies and became politically active through personal interest and initiative. After graduating, he campaigned as a candidate for County Supervisor in Marin County and developed a new-found respect for the democratic process and its ability to give a voice to the concerns of ordinary citizens.

Mr. Wyatt is married to Zefra Wyatt and they have three children, Gigi, 5, William, 9 and Mimi, 11. Zefra was raised in Los Angeles and they have established roots here through family and their retail store. He also operates a t-shirt printing business and other light garment manufacturing with worldwide distribution from a downtown location. Bill originally learned his trade while living in Los Angeles in the 1980's and relocated his business here after starting in San Francisco and has prospered as a member of the local business community.

In 2002, he ran for elected office again in Hollywood during the secession campaign because he felt it was a truly democratic cause. Following that election, in 2003, he ran as an anti-recall candidate opposed to the removal of Gray Davis as Governor, because he felt the issue was undemocratic. Later in 2003, being unsure that anyone would oppose George Bush in the Republican primaries, he got on the ballot in five states and hit the road. He campaigned nationwide receiving 10% of the vote in the Oklahoma primary. Now he has chosen to run a Mayoral campaign for March of 2005 municipal election in Los Angeles. He is confident that he can build a campaign that will have meaning.
