Candidate for
Council Member; City of La Habra Heights

Growing up in rural Minnesota, I learned to work hard at a very young age. After 4 years in the Air Force, I got married and continued my airline career and obtained my business degree. Working my way through the ranks, a promotion brought me to the Los Angeles area 18 years ago.

After investigating many cities, I selected La Habra Heights because I wanted to raise my family in this unique environment. Working with my daughter as a 4H Leader brought back my 4H experiences on the farm. The city's volunteer fire department enabled my son to participate as a fireman.

When my wife passed away a little over 4 years ago, my main priority was to continue to provide a good home for my two children. I also decided to get active in city government and volunteered to be a planning commissioner.

What do you want in a council member? I offer the following:

·25 years management experience at a Fortune 500 company.

·As a Manger of aircraft flight maintenance I manage a budget of 28 million dollars and a staff of 220 and make critical decisions in a safety sensitive job.

·I have resolved thousands of conflicts and personnel issues in a calm, fair and sensible manner.

· I have built my own home.

·4 years as a planning commissioner developing our General Plan, has given me an in depth knowledge of our building process

·I am an excellent listener and will only make decisions after community input.

We need a seasoned council member. I not only have excellent qualifications but most importantly I am not guided by self-interests or a personal agenda.
