Thousands of working families worry about whether their next paycheck will be their last, families are financially strapped after paying higher insurance premiums, higher gas prices, some of the highest tuition costs in the country, and a growing number of our loved ones are forced to choose between food and life-saving medications.

Most of Ohio's economic problems have been self-inflicted by a partisan, one-party ideology. Waste and mismanagement of government contracts have resulted in a record budget deficit that is costing working families and small businesses billions of dollars in new taxes. Yet the one-party rulers in Columbus continue handing out millions of dollars to their special interest buddies. It's no wonder our state is in a fiscal mess. We need to operate state government with fiscal discipline and integrity that brings spending in line with state revenues, while still being responsive to the needs of taxpayers.

As a member of the 124th General Assembly, I know how to build coalitions having passed legislation as a minority member of the Legislature. I believe my experience and knowledge in public policy and my priority on people are a tremendous asset to the hard working families of the district.

The partisan, one-party rulers in Columbus have been playing wedge politics with emotional issues that have nothing to do with jobs, education, health care or taxes. It's divisive politics that's hurting Ohio, and picking the pockets of hard working families.

I pledge to be your full-time State Representative working for the best interest of working families and not the Columbus special interests.
