Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office?

As Recorder, I have served the public in an exemplary manner by exercising fiscal responsibility, modernizing technology and increasing the material available for research at home over the Internet. Also, my 20 years of private sector paralegal experience lends itself to the successful administration of the office.

3. What do you see as the two most pressing issues you would address if elected? What plans do you have relative to those issues?

The primary issue is the Recorder's role in curtailing identity theft. My office has been aggressive in protecting the information we have in our files through the development of hot sites, firewalls, and digital blocking mechanisms.

The second issue is electronic recording. Here, we have been working with the state legislature to craft laws that encourage the growth of this money-saving operation while ensuring the integrity of citizens' documents.
