Born in North Hollywood, California, in 1964, Jeff was raised in the San Fernando Valley. He graduated from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics in 1986. While at Brandeis, Jeff earned three varsity letters in Fencing and was a member of the 1986 New England Champions.

In 1992, Jeff married the former Jan Krocker in Calabasas, California. In 2000, the Solomons moved to Thousand Oaks, California from the Santa Clarita Valley. Jan and Jeff have two daughters, Rebekah, a 5th grader at Weathersfield Elementary and Hannah, a 3rd grader at Weathersfield.

Jeff's work experience started with approximately 15 years in the banking industry. Some of his former employers include California National Bank, Topa Savings Bank and Malaga Bank. As a bank Vice President, his primary focus was managing loan and financial services in addition to running the bank's networks. In 1999, Jeff began a four-year run as Director of Operations for a local software company, Facility Information Systems of Camarillo.

Jeff is currently Controller for Unified Precious Metals of Westlake Village, California. In his capacity at UPM, Jeff oversees the Accounting Department and all finance functions in addition to Human Resources and Network Operations. He is also currently pursuing an MBA locally at Cal Lutheran.

Jeff is active in the community as an AYSO soccer coach and referee in addition to serving on the Weathersfield Elementary School Site Council.
