Protecting our Homeland

By Edward R. Royce

Candidate for United States Representative; District 40

This information is provided by the candidate
Working to Increase our security around potential terrorists targets.
I supported efforts to streamline and coordinate the efforts to the many federal and state employees working to provide security at our country's many ports-of-entry, and am working to continue efforts to increase security around high-profile locations such as airports, nuclear reactors and sports arenas. I have also promoted efforts to ensure that no U.S. dollars are going to countries aiding terrorists.

I voted for the 2004 Homeland Security bill, which will help protect the nation against further terrorist attacks, analyze threats and intelligence, guard our borders and airports, protect our critical infrastructure, and coordinate the response of our nation for future emergencies.

I also supported the Armed Forces Tax Fairness Act, which contains mulitple tax relief provisions for the families of military personnel who are deployed, as well as the wartime supplemental bill, which provides vital support to our troops.
