Anyone who knows Michael knows he's a family man first and foremost. The Metti's currently own and operate a Postal Gift shop, invest online and home school their children.

Michael loves challenges and has always tried to live his life his way. He graduated from the Washburn Trade school as a sheet metal journeyman in 1978. Soon after he started his own Test and Balance business in Chicago. After bidding and successfully negotiating building projects in Saudi Arabia, Michael moved to launch his new venture internationally. He sold his Chicago business to focus solely on the business challenges facing him in this very different part of the world.

In the seven years Michael spent in Saudi Arabia, he not only built up his Test and Balance business, he also purchased and operated a Precision Equipment Measuring Laboratory (PMEL) and started up an Air Conditioning Filter business. He traveled extensively negotiating projects from private companies and various government agencies. He built an international team of individuals that he delegated to successfully run all his business ventures. In 1986 Michael met his wife Hannah and in 1988 he decided to sell his interests on all his overseas business so that he could move back to The United States to raise his family.

Michael and Hannah are now enjoying the pleasures of family life. The home schooling of their boys bring them great satisfaction. Michael's decision to run for office has the full support of his family, but they realize that this may be the greatest challenge he has yet to face. As a person who thinks that government has gone far beyond its intended purpose, he realizes that it will only get worse if he doesn't act now.
