I have in-depth experience and a consuming interest in government, leadership issues and productive processes.


1996-present Councilmember, City of Rohnert Park, CA. Mayor in 2001
1972-2002 US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Senior Positions in Pesticide Regulation, including:
- 1972-1982 EPA Region 9 Branch Chief and Division Director
- 1977-1980 On loan to State of California to serve as Director of State Pesticide Regulatory Program
- 1982-1984 EPA Headquarters, Office of the Assistant Administrator, Pesticides and Toxic Substances
- 1984-2002 Western Director, Office of Pesticide Programs Prior to my 30 years with EPA, I worked for 5 years across US and in Europe as a Technical Specialist/Field R&D Manager in the Agricultural Chemical Industry.

Moderator for four consecutive annual EPA-sponsored National Smart Growth Conferences 2001-2004 Held in San Diego, New Orleans, and Portland. 900-1000 attendees per conference.

Co-Founder and Manager, EPA Pesticide Regulatory Education Program, 1990-2002 Federal/State/Tribal Intergovernmental Leadership Program in Pesticide Regulation, organized in conjunction with the University of Calfornia, Davis, and other Land Grant Universities throughout the US.
