Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Eric Kirchmann

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Cotati

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe in a participatory democracy where members of a community can be heard following a process which serves the majority. I have had over a hundred and fifty hours of training in the process of governance. I am presently serving in my fourteenth year of elected office serving our youth, families, and community; as a School Board Trustee. I take such governance extremely seriously. Next to such recognitions as Cotati Citizen of the Year is a small award for Outstanding Performance "we will be financially stable" it was presented to me in 1993, and the need for that stability is as keen now as it was then. I have worked with divergent perspectives and diverse populations. I represent all members of my community. I have served my costituents for many evening meetings, extending into the early morning, and feel confident that I have always been fair and balanced.

I hope to bring experience and diversity to the task of creating our city and community's identity for future generations. I cannot do this alone. We all must participate and be a part of shaping our future. Please join me in the endeavor. I seek to represent your interests.
