Alan's Position

By Alan A. Whipple

Candidate for Board Member; Lincoln Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Vote for true STUDENT representation
My name is Alan Whipple, I am 18 years old, graduated from Lincoln High School in 2004, and am seeking a seat on the Lincoln Unified School District's Board of Trustees.

I believe I can relate to the students of the district more closely than those who are seated or are seeking a position on the Lincoln Unified School District Board of Trustees. I went through thirteen years of education in the district. I am confident the atmosphere and education of students is best understood by one who has experienced it more recently. Times have changed, so have the schools, the kids, and so should those seated on the Board of Trustees.

As you may or may not know, there are two seats available in this election. As the only student on the ballot, I may seem a little out of place. However, a vote for a student and a vote for an adult would create a truly unique balance on the Board of Trustees.

In order to experience that unique balance, you must elect me, Alan Whipple, for Lincoln Unified School District Board of Trustees.

Sincerely,

Alan Whipple
