Candidate for Council Member; City of Lodi

I do believe that is time to concentrate on cleanup and possibly look for federal assistance in lifting the direct burden from the local taxpayers.
The ground water contamination suit is a true problem for the city of Lodi and all of its citizens. Had it not been for a few dedicated councilpersons, we may still not know the magnitude of the situation. I believe that the contamination is far reaching and will take much time and money to address the clean up. The Lehman Brother has loaned the city a great deal of money. Will Lodi be responsible for repaying this money or will we be successful in our current legal strategy?

As for an answer to these questions, I don't believe anyone but the attorneys and persons directly involved are privy to all of the information surrounding the litigation. So to base an answer, conclusion or even a solution would be impossible.

I do believe that is time to concentrate on cleanup and possibly look for federal assistance in lifting the direct burden from the local taxpayers. Many cities across the country are faced with similar contamination. We need to look in other directions than just continued litigation.

No matter what, I am willing to roll up my sleeves and get down to business.
