Biography

Tim Hern and his family have been residents of Ripon since 1990. Tim and his wife, chose the Ripon community for its quality, safety, family values, and peacefulness. Tim and his family follow the philosophy to always give to the community. Thus, Tim has taken an active role in the education, recreation, and business communities.

Council Member Since 2000, Currently Mayor.

Ripon High Booster's President - 1994-97.

Ripon Babe Ruth Coach - 1991-98.

Family-run local business owner - Ripon Video

Ripon Chamber of Commerce Member-1997- present.

Ripon Small Business of the Year, 2002.

Tim holds a B. A. with a double major in Design and Industry and Social Science with an emphasis in History and Political Science from San Francisco State University and a M.S. in Education from California State University, Hayward. He has been a school board member and president for a private school in Livermore. He has 32 years experience with public agencies both at local and state levels. Tim is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the Oakdale Joint Unified School District managing over 50 million dollars in construction and modernization projects and an annual budget of 34 million dollars
