Job Creation

By Matt Tuchow

Candidate for Supervisor; County of San Francisco; District 1

This information is provided by the candidate
I served on Mayor Newsom's transition team to analyze low-cost opportunities for San Francisco to attract new business. I learned that the City does little to develop international trade opportunities although many abound; the City also does little to capitalize on San Francisco's famous name although we are a world renowned destination. I would work collaboratively with the mayor to develop promote economic development and job creation in San Francisco to put our 20,000 unemployed back to work. We must help small and medium size companies take advantage of the global economy to grow their businesses. More business means more revenue to fund the city services that address such issues as homelessness and afterschool programs.
