In March, 2002, San Francisco voters approved Ranked Choice Voting for local elections, which allows San Franciscans to vote for their first, second and third choices. This November, we will be using this system for the first time.

In the spirit of Ranked Choice Voting, some individuals and organizations that endorse candidates have made ranked endorsements. (Some have endorsed multiple candidates but have chosen not to rank them, others have endorsed only one candidate.)
