DISTRICT 5 NEEDS LEADERSHIP, NOT LABELS!!!

As a former director of the Golden Gate Bridge, chairman of Adopt-A-Muni/CORE (which won the 1998 MTA award for Best Transportation Organization), and as a successful civic and community leader, I am uniquely qualified to be the next District 5 Supervisor. While at the GGB, I fought against motor toll increases and pedestrian crossing tolls because I felt the District was not addressing its own wasteful practices. I fought for equal opportunities in contracting and employment for women and minorities, and passed a strong anti-discrimination measure related to District hiring practices. As Supervisor, I will fight for all D5 residents.

I will restore honesty and integrity in city government programs. The city funds many nonprofit services and owes it to clients and taxpayers to make sure that the funds are used wisely."

Taxes - I am against new taxes on businesses.

Housing - I am for affordable housing and alternative forms of property ownership.

Transporation - I am for affordable, efficient, and safe public transportation and facilities.

Jobs - I am for promoting job growth and the hiring initiatives of local businesses.
