Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Dick Ramos

Candidate for
Council Member; City of El Cajon

This information is provided by the candidate

The main function of any Councilmember is to provide for the safety and welfare of its citizens.

While on the Council I have been an ardent supporter of both the Police and Fire Departments. In a letter of endorsement, the El Cajon Police Officers Ass'n. said "We thank you for all your hard work, not only these past four years, but in the years past in making the City of El Cajon, a better place to live and work and your dedication to public service."

I also believe and have vigorously defended the integrity of the single family residential areas. These are quality of life issues and we cannot allow intrusions into these zones by business, industry or any other organizations that will interfere with our quality of life.

I am an independent voice, not affiliated with any special interest group.

In another letter of endorsement, former Mayor Shoemaker said "Dick Ramos is a straight-arrow guy without a personal agenda. His only interest is in serving the citizens of El Cajon. Dick is always prepared for meetings and is an honest and straight-forward leader."

I will continue with that philosophy.
