1.Widening and landscaping of Community Road
2.Expanded Railroad Train Barn and Turntable
3.Established the City "CARE" Team after Cedar Fire to assist fire victims
4.Financed an all-weather field for Poway High School
5.Supported and restructured a healthy Performing Arts Center
6.Revitalized Poway Road centers such as Steinmart and the Library Plaza Center
7.Opened 255 units of affordable housing
8.Facilitated the opening of the Boys & Girls Club on City owned land.
9.Created a Mobile Recreation Vehicle taking youth activities "to the neighborhoods"
10.Maintained the lowest crime rate in the County for 4 more years
11.Maintained and enhanced a healthy business climate which brought sales tax generators, Kohl's, Costco, Staples, Home Depot, Office Depot, and Home Goods to Poway
12.Helped inaugurate a "reverse commute" bus route from downtown San Diego to the Poway Business Park
13.Approved the building of the Aubrey Park sports fields
14.Expanded the activities sponsored by the Teen Issues Committee
15.Built a state-of-the-art skate park in Community Park.
16.Expanded facilities and began tours at the city owned Kumeyaay Interpretive Center
17.Completed Fire Station #3
18.Built the first stage of the Blue Sky Preserve Interpretive Center and added acreage.
19.Completed a "one stop, citizen-friendly" City Hall Building
20.Defeated an attempt to rezone rural lands to commercial uses on Highway 67
21.Purchased the Twin Peaks, van Dam Peak and Rattlesnake Hill protecting them from development forever
22.Brought two more auto dealerships to town helping increase sales tax revenue in 2003/04 by 31% over 2002/03
23.Expanded the Volunteer Ranger program to over 50 volunteers
24.Sponsored and funded Poway's first "public art" with Kumeyaay sculptures at the new City Hall
25.Initiated a study to find methods to improve funding for the Poway Valley Seniors
26.Launched a "First Time Buyer" new home ownership program for moderate income residents
27.Purchased the historic Big Stone Lodge for preservation and community use
28.Adopted a master plan for Old Poway Park that preserves its "small village" atmosphere.
29.Completed a rehabilitation program for the Old Poway Village commercial area
30.Maintained a balanced budget with a surplus for four more years
