The next four years will be crucial for the Mountain View-Whisman School District. I see our greatest challenges as student achievement, the state budget crisis, effective use of technology and possible school closure. We also have an historic opportunity to work together as one community to successfully meet these challenges.

I am well prepared for the role of school board trustee. I am an active participant in our district at many levels: classroom volunteer (4 hours/week), Co-President of the Huff PTA (two terms), executive board member for Measure E (Treasurer) and Measure J (Logistics), and a dedicated school board meeting attendee. I am a Stanford University graduate (BS Mechanical Engineering; MS Aero/Astro Engr.) and the mother of two elementary school children.

I will use the experience, knowledge and community relationships gained from these activities to objectively evaluate and address our district's challenges. I will focus on making Mountain View-Whisman a district of choice and excellence that includes Blue Ribbon schools and superior staff. I am excited for the future of our district and look forward to representing all of our children. Thank you for your vote.
