I have lived in Saratoga for eight years. I have three daughters: a junior at Saratoga High School, an eighth grader and a sixth grader at Redwood Middle School. I am an Electrical Engineer. I worked at Hewlett Packard as a Marketing Engineer, until my children were born. Today, my husband and I own a small high-tech firm, where I manage all the finance operations.

After moving to Saratoga in 1996, I quickly realized the level of parent participation needed to keep our schools great. I started volunteering in the classrooms with the art and enrichment programs. From there, I became involved with school wide programs and district wide organizations.

Over the years I have served in the following roles:

Member, Saratoga Education Foundtn. Board since 1998

President, Saratoga Educations Foundation 2002-2004

President, Redwood Parents Teachers Assn. 2001-2002

Member of SUSD Budget Committee

Member of Presidents' Council

Member of SUSD Visual and Performing Arts Committee

Implementer of Math Olympiad Program: Saratoga Elementary School

Coordinator of Junior Achievement (JA) Program: Redwood Middle School

Member of Saratoga High School Foundation

Outside our school community, my daughter and I are members of National Charity League (NCL). Through NCL, we have volunteered at Sacred Heart Community Services in San Jose, San Jose Municipal and Heritage Rose Gardens, Our Lady of Fatima, and Saratoga Library.

I believe my depth of volunteer experience and commitment to our schools and community will enable me to be an effective board member. My involvement with many organizations has prepared me well to work with students, parents, and staff.
