Smart Voter Full Biography for Sam Sandy

Candidate for
Board Member; Franklin-McKinley School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I was born and raised in this district. In our schools I was taught to believe in community service.

I want you to know that I had great teachers and a great education here while attending Stonegate, Sylvandale and Silver Creek High School. Every one of our children deserves to have the skills to make the best use of their talents. And we all want to be proud that we provide a challenging curriculum and well equipped schools for them to realize their dreams.

The school board is an opportunity to participate in the decisions that will make these dreams come true. While becoming an Eagle Scout in Troop 251, I learned that volunteering is its own reward. As an Assistant Scoutmaster, I take pride in the accomplishments of our youth. I have training in leadership, conflict resolution and team management. My dreams are coming true and so can the dreams of every one of our children. Together we can make the schools our outstanding legacy.
