Candidate for
Board Member; Alum Rock Union School District; 2 Year Short Term

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a proud graduate of the Alum Rock Union School District. Caring teachers and my wonderful parents gave me a solid foundation in my formative education years. By providing strong support to our classroom teachers and by supporting parental involvement, we can provide the same solid foundation today for all of our kids.

I have invested many hours working to improve our community. I worked hard to make our Alum Rock Youth Center a reality. I worked on the effort to build a new Alum Rock library. Working with locally elected officials, I was proud to help bring redevelopment dollars to our part of town.

As a school board member, I will promote an atmosphere of trust, pride and respect, so that our teachers and parents feel valued and respected. I strongly support increasing parental involvement, as greater parent involvement leads to better schools and higher student achievement. I will work hard on bringing extra city and state dollars to our district. I will put my contacts with locally elected officials to work for the good of Alum Rock students.

If you care about our community as I do, then vote for Darcie Green. Your vote is your voice.
