A question voters might want to ask of ALL candidates is, what were they doing for our fine city BEFORE they decided to run for office? Was this person able to achieve anything WITHOUT having an official position and a title?

My answer to the above is, hands down, I have been the most spirited and tireless activist in all of Huntington Beach in trying to limit Long Beach Airport expansion. I have written numerous letters, attended numerous meetings, circulated petitions, and even helped Long Beach Councilwoman Rae Gabelich get elected. I have NOT recieved a single dime for my efforts. I simply do this out of the love for our city. That should be the standard for all office seekers. When it comes to defending our city, like Winston Churchill once said, "We will NEVER surrender!"

When one is elected to city council, the compensation does not begin to equal minimum wage for all the hours they will put in. Yet, some will spend upwards of $50,000 for a position. Why is that? What do they really expect in return?

City Council should not be a position one takes for the money or to conduct personal business. I have no ulterior motives. I will not disgrace the office like some previous individuals have. I am in no position to profit from any actions from the city council. I am ONLY here to IMPROVE our city's quality of life. I pursue this position not for ego, reward, or favors. I simply want to CONTINUE my activism at a higher level and get more of my neighbors involved in bettering Surf City for all of us.
