Dan Cort is a renowned historic preservationist, lecturer and National consultant. He is CEO of The Cort Companies, which for the past 30 years has been revitalizing downtown central cores, with the focus on the urban village and live-work environments.

Dan Cort holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of the Pacific. He has lectured throughout the United States on important issues in the preservation of our inner cities,affordable housing and job creation. As a consultant for public agencies, Dan Cort offers new approaches to the renewal of our cities and neighborhoods.

Overseeing the design of these projects gives Dan Cort a unique perspective in creating a new vision, a new vitality and a unique synthesis between historic architecture and modern uses. His concerns are with the overall health of the city's central core and residents, and his commitments have extended to serving on Boards and commissions throughout California.
