About Me

I am 55 years old and have been married to my wonderful wife Tina, since 1975. We have no children, just one four-legged family member, our dog `Lil-Bit'.

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio by a middle class mother and father. After graduating from high school I moved to California in 1969 to attend college; after about a year I enlisted in the U.S. Army. During my active duty I was stationed in Germany and Vietnam. I completed my service to my country in 1973 and returned to California.

In 1974, I began my civil service career. In 1975 I joined the California National Guard and left in 1985, having attained the rank of Captain. I have now worked for the government as both a serviceman and a civilian for over 34 years. I am currently employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Systems Specialist.

Shortly after moving to Ridgecrest in 1987, I became actively involved in the community. I have attended several school board and city council meetings over those years. I have served on committees in the city and have been active in numerous local elections with the Ridgecrest Citizens for Constitutional Government (RCCG). The RCCG has produced and sponsored local voter guides, televised candidate forums and debates.

I am currently eligible for retirement but presently have no plans to retire. Just in case you may be thinking that I have aspirations of making politics my second career + I don't. I am running for office because I truly do love what this country has stood for and have the deepest desire to defend and restore it. I believe in limited government: as Thomas Jefferson once said: "The government that governs best , governs least". In other words, I just want to put `We the people' back in charge.
