Let's Grow Together

By Johnathon L. Ervin

Candidate for Council Member; City of California City

This information is provided by the candidate
My name is Johnathon Levar Ervin and I want to be your city councilman. Your choice on November 2nd, 2004 is very important to California City. I am the choice for the present, our children and our future. I have the vision, the positive outlook, and out-of-the-box thinking mentality that is essential for our city's future. I am the candidate that you can trust to be firm and resolute when it comes to our cities budget. This campaign is for the people of California City. If elected I WILL NOT accept any compensation from the city.

Issues:

To continue and enhance the economic development of California City. This means being committed to bringing a grocery store, retail shopping, more restaurants, hotels, and events to California City. This also means having a commitment to not spending over the city budget and bringing revenue to our city.

I am committed to providing our young people with more activities in our community. This means being committed to bring a Boys and Girls club to our area, renovating our current community center and/or building a new one, ensuring summer jobs are more plentiful and exploring possibilities for higher education to become available in California City.

To improving our public services and city infrastructure so that we are ready for increased growth. This means improving our effort to repair our water lines, increasing our police/fire departments, and making a commitment to city beautification.

Creating an environment where all citizens trust the city government is very important. This means giving all citizens access to updated city information via a one stop Cal city website. Citizens can visit this website to find out about our cities budget, new developments, and any issues dealing with the city. Lastly, promoting community involvement and volunteerism is important for a strong community.
