This information is provided by the candidate

As your Council member, I will continue working toward:

Protecting Arcata's natural environment by strongly supporting Arcata's General Plan 2020 vision of slow, well- planned development; preservation of agricultural land, wetlands, and open space; economic sustainability; and partnering with Humboldt State University to share in their expertise.

Attracting customers to Arcata stores by recruiting sustainable businesses which can provide basic goods and services currently unavailable in Arcata; working to relocate the Arcata Service Center away from the Plaza; and providing public restrooms in the Downtown.

Improving City government by supporting decision-making processes where all stakeholders are brought to the table for their input, before decisions are made; completing and implementing Arcata's Land Use Guide; and conducting meetings respectfully and efficiently.

As a council member, I listen respectfully to all viewpoints and work hard to make fact-based decisions. I wish to continue on as a voice of moderation, working to find common ground amongst differing views.

Thank you for your vote on November 2nd.
