As a member and past Chair of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Mayor Freitas aggressively represented Antioch and help secure funds for the following projects: Widening more of Highway 4 from 4 to 8 lanes . . . . $125 million. Finally bringing e-BART/BART to East County . . . . . $150 million. Improving State Route 4 by-pass & Vasco Rd. . . . . . $ 95 million.
