A Critical Turning Point

Financial crisis thrust upon cities by state government threatens Fremont's quality of life. Fremont needs Bob Wasserman's experience to guide us through the minefield. With 28 years of Fremont leadership, Bob has the credentials we need to meet the challenges of:

  • Creating a stable funding for public safety and other essential city services
  • Development of a unique and vibrant Downtown Fremont business environment
  • Ensuring that the Mission/I880 interchange is a key crossroads in the Bay Area

A proven leader with the experience for the job
  • Korean War Veteran, United States Army
  • Masters Degree in Public Administration from U.S.C.
  • 40 Years of law enforcement, 24 years as a Chief of Police (16 years in Fremont)
  • 12 years as Fremont City Council member

A solid record of accomplishments Under Bob Wasserman's leadership, even though they were faced with a budget shortage the Police department:
  • Was considered a national leader for innovation
  • F.B.I. crime statistics documented Fremont to be the safest city of its size in America

When Fremont elected Bob Wasserman to City Council 12 years ago, he began an immediate effort to work harmoniously with colleagues and end factional infighting. In 1994 he:
  • Recommended the expansion of the Economic Development Advisory Commission
  • Fought for the creation of a staff unit dedicated to economic development.

One example of this unit's success is the over 700,000 square feet of shopping and dinning opportunities that awaits Fremont's residents this year at Pacific Commons.

A message from Bob Fremont is a great city and I have played a major role in its development and have helped to make it one of the safest and most desirable Cities in the nation. I will continue to ensure that Fremont is a place where we can all live, work, play and shop! I have proven leadership, knowledge and skills and I will devote all my time to the business of running the city. I would appreciate your support and vote this November!

  • Public safety that is second to none
  • Strong and vibrant economy
  • High quality of life
