Re-elect Dale Turner LARPD

By Dale Turner

Candidate for Member, Board of Directors; Livermore Area Recreation and Park District

This information is provided by the candidate
I have served as an elected member of the Livermore Recreation and Park District for four years.
I have served as an elected member of the LARPD for four years, and am now seeking re-election. My previous experience was as the directly elected Mayor of LIvermore from 1980 to 1989. I was instrumental in creating the Livermore of today. I hope you like it, and I hope that you will vote for me in the November election.

We are facing difficult financial issues in the Par District because of the debacle in Sacramento. As a former banker, I have experience with budgets and financial satements, a skill that will serve well on the Park District board.

My goals will be to facilitate the opening of the Community Center at Loyola Way and East Avenue, to maintain and expand our wonderful trail system and to establish a covered arena at the rodeo grounds.

As a former soccer coach, I wll be working with the board to establish a sports park. I also would like to see the expansion of the after-school program for children( ESS). Also I will to enhance Senior Programs.

I served in US Air Force and was Honorably discharged.

The LARPD is a special district and is not affiliated with the City of Livermore. We service about 245 square miles which encompass the City of Livermore. We work closely with Livermore and share some services. We also work closely with The Livermore School District and share some services.

As a member of the Park Board, I wll continue to seek citizen input and work with you to keep our parks program an active part of the life of our city.
