Priorities of Harry Hartman as an Elected Trustee

By Harry Hartman

Candidate for Trustee; Peralta Community College District; Trustee Area 1

This information is provided by the candidate
The Peralta College District needs new leadership to meet the current budget challenges, improve their visibility and their reputation in this Community, also boost overall enrollment with all Peralta Colleges.
As a strong advocate, steward and spokesperson, I want to work hard to build future success for the Peralta District. With my experience, integrity and community background, I will be a effective Board member right away if elected. The Peralta Board needs new energy and new leadership to work together and collaborate for all of the current challenges. At this time, we have a budget crisis, but we need to make sure the budget system has accountability and it helps our students, the faculty and the staff. Of course we should make sure the improvements and upgrades are finished at the 4 Peralta Colleges from Prop E. As a current American Red Cross Disaster Liasion, I want to make sure our Peralta buildings are safe for the students and the staff, and that our Faculty and staff knows about disaster preparedness. An earthquake could happen during the day and we all need to be prepared and know what to do.
