I have consistently opposed Proposition U because it would reduce the city budget by $9,000,000 within 60 days of its passing. This is an ill conceived proposition to deal with a key tax issue. Taxation and city services supported by taxes should be decided cooperatively with city citizens in forums and meetings where everyone can give input and share views. |
