Improve our17th District's Economy

By Connor Vlakancic

Candidate for United States Representative; District 17; Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate
Promote the 17th District's wine based industry and it's tourism promoting benefits.
To be district focused is my primary goal. The 17th Congressional District is one of the most important wine and agricultural producing areas of America. Monterey County alone boasts seven distinct American Viticultural Areas (AVA). With Santa Cruz County mountain winegrowers, the 17th Congressional District is a world class region with the only limitation that it requires the world class means to bring it the world class attention that it deserves.

Wine business is the business of my business. I understand the solid potential for world wide recognition of our appellations special character(s) and I intend to gain this District the attention that it deserves.

As your Representative, I would be a very active member of the Congressional Wine Caucus, an official association of Congressmen, which is knowledgeable and highly supportive of America's wine industry. In this, I will be able to emphasize our regional potential to become a true preferential Viticultural district and destination.

I have a series of 17th District promotional activities that are visionary and rationally logical. These promotions have been developed and nurtured based on comments and suggestions from the many people in the wine business that are among my advisers and supporters.
