FERIAL MASRY FOR 37TH ASSEMBLY DISTRICT

In declaring my candidacy for the 37th District of the California Assembly, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to represent the needs of citizens in this district. I intend to be inclusive, to listen to the ideas on all sides of issues; to represent people, not a political ideology. I am the candidate with the experience and maturity to truly be attentive to the interests of all citizens.

Having raised three children, I know first hand the needs for safety, a clean environment and excellent public schools. Having been an immigrant myself, I know the experiences of our newest citizens. Having been a small business owner, I understand the pressing needs of creating business growth and opportunity in California. I intend to bring my rich and diverse experiences together to serve this district thoughtfully and well.

In believe in citizen participation to sustain achievement and have fair and accountable governance. I will work to encourage civic education and citizen involvement throughout the lives of our citizens, including the youngest in our schools. We can only sustain our democratic form of government if we all feel responsible and knowledgeable about the issues deciding our future.

I am honored to run as a write-in candidate for the 37th District, as a member of the Democratic party. I believe in supporting a progressive agenda in the tradition of the Democratic Party. I am stepping forward to take my responsibility as a first generation American, so that I can be part of solving problems, protecting our achievements and speaking for all in our quest for freedom and justice for all.
