My 30 year background in business and financial planning is sorely needed in Sacramento today. Our unprecedented budget crisis and out-of-control spending require legislators who will work immediately to eliminate government waste and improve California's business climate. I am committed to real reform of the worker's compensation system, improving education through school choice, upholding the right to bear arms, downsizing state bureaucracy, securing private property rights, protecting traditional marriage, ending benefits to illegal aliens and opposing ANY and ALL tax increases.

As 33rd District Co-Chair of the "Recall Gray Davis" campaign, I helped collect thousands of signatures to remove Davis from office. As Co-Chair of the "Save Our Licenses" committee, I helped end the ridiculous law granting driver's licenses to illegal aliens. My record:

  • Married to Jean for 36 years; children Jana, MD, (USAF Captain) and Dan, computer consultant
  • Elected member, San Luis Obispo County Republican Central Committee
  • Founding Member, Squire Canyon Community Services District
  • Trustee, Grace Church
  • Director, Simpson College Foundation
  • Pilot, Sheriff's Aero Squadron; First Lieutenant, Civil Air Patrol; California National Guard honorable discharge

Like Governor Schwarzenegger, I immigrated to America legally from Finland at age 16 and am not indebted to any political machine. Today, our freedoms are eroding as big government increasingly intrudes into our daily lives and confiscates more of our incomes. With your vote, I will reverse that trend. I am supported by thousands of local residents and am clearly the conservative choice. Thank you.
