Candidate for
United States Representative; District 12; Green Party

I am a homeowner who has lived in the Sunset District for twenty four years. I have owned and operated my own small business, Hermanson's Employment Services, a temporary employment and billing service since 1980.

I have worked with several current and past members of the Board of Supervisors on legislation that was both proposed and successfully passed. I have colleagues in small business, non-profits and government. I currently serve on the Local Homeless Coordinating Board and the Program Resource Committee of the Workforce Investment Board in San Francisco. I am a member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and Responsible Wealth and United for a Fair Economy.

I do not believe that you should have to be rich to live in San Francisco. We need city policies and programs that allow both homeowners and tenants to stay in the city. I make no easy promises. Many of the issues I will take on are broad and complex; they will not be solved overnight. But I promise you, that if elected, I will do my utmost to build a Sunset - and a San Francisco - that will make you proud.
